My all-time favorite story that Mike would tell is when he was playing pickup at LA Fitness one day and recognized the guy he was guarding, but couldn’t quite put his finger on how he knew him. Halfway through the game, Mike said, “holy shit! You’re Peeta Mellark!” Mike was just casually guarding Josh Hutcherson and proceeded to yell quotes from the Hunger Games to throw him off when shooting. This story was of course better all because of Mike’s Bahston accent. I will never forgot how hard Mike and I were laughing together when I first heard this story. ❤️
